Chef Imo-owo's Biography

Chef Boniface Imo-owo is an accomplished restauranteur,  Chief Executive Officer/Chef Owner of Sumptuous Meals Ltd, started his catering career with interest in cooking right from his mum’s kitchen. Thereafter he gained admission to study food catering in Yaba College of Technology, Lagos Nigeria graduated with Higher National Diploma in catering.

Worked as a chef with one of the nation top Restaurant (Satisfaction Restaurant, Ltd) as Executive Chef / Operation Manager with Tastee Fried Chicken.  Boniface served as an Executive Chef/ Food Adviser to the Organizing committee of Nigeria 99 FIFA World Youth Championship.

He set up Sumptuous Meals Ltd, a reputable off premises catering company with staff strength of over 82 employees at present, with annual turnover of over 2.5 million USD.

Boniface graduated with honors from University of Calabar Nigeria with Master of Business Administration in 2006 and a Bachelor of Business Administration 2003 from North American University Benin.

Chef Boniface Imoowo, cooks with style and soul.  Growing up in a small family, the Nigeria Akwa Ibom State native creates boldly flavored deeply satisfying ethnic dishes.  He brought his unique style of cooking with an ethnic twist and African flair out West doing private cooking for parties and events few years ago.  His plates have been described as "tear jerking".

Chef Boniface has over 20 years’ experience in the restaurant hospitality business. He's taught cooking classes in Lagos Nigeria, owned sumptuous restaurants in cities in Nigeria.

He is the president of Sumptuous Group International LLC, owner of Sumptuous African Restaurant

His newest restaurant, in the Inglewood California has received excellence culinary awards and recognitions within the very first year in the city of Inglewood. .

He is a Higher National Diploma graduate in Catering and Hotel Management, with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration, and an MBA.
